GNC Products Bad???

I plan on buying GNC Pro Performance® 100% Whey Protein, GNC Pro Performance® Creatine Monohydratem, and some GNC Fish Body Oils 1000. Just to cover the basic stuff. I was also going to buy some GNC Mega Man multivitamins but I read somewhere on this forum that GNC products were bad. Are just the vitamins bad? I can't see that if its just whey protein or creatine that it could be any better or worse then a more expensive brand. GNC was the first place I thought of to get stuff like this and they're national and pretty well known so I figured they were ok; If there is somewhere better (aka cheaper) with the same or better quality that i can get online lemme know.

On another note I now plan to go with the Source Naturals Life Force Multivitamins, but the cheapest place I can find them online is 120 for 25 bucks (after shipping), is there a cheaper place?

Thanks

Well, not all whey proteins and creatine are the same. Go with regular creatine monohydrate. GNC products aren't "bad" per say, but there are MUCH cheaper options online.

I would check out...

those are the top ones in my opinion...

also plug in the price to or for a 5% discount....

wow I sould like I work for 17 websites....

oh, make sure to check the price of shipping, which I'm sure you know, but varies quite a bit depending on how heavy the package will be, where it ships from and where you are located.

For protein I would go with Optimum Nutrition or Cytosport. Creatine...any regular creatine monohydrate.

I'd go with Optimum Nutrition brand whey protein. It's 24g protein per serving (1 oz.) and you can find it as cheap as $13.00 per 2 pounds online (or $27 for 5 pounds). The main ingredient is whey protein ISOLATE which is what you want in a whey mix.

As far as GNC multivits, I've seen them recommended a lot on this site. They've got a high absorpiton rate, which is what you're supposed to look for in a multivitamin.

Hope this helps.

agreed, GNC prices suck, even with a Gold card, and their store brand is barely middle of the road in terms of quality. basically its the cheapest kind of whey, their creatine is not creapure processed, and worst of all the employees are commission driven sales drones...not supplement experts.

That is so true, those guys don't know jack sh!t! Me and my friends were at the mall last night, and we passed by a GNC. I went in, asked some questions, got half-assed answers, but thankfully I knew what I was looking for and what I should get. I blew $50 (Gold Card savings included) on some Fish Body Oils 1000 (360 tablets) and Mega Men Sport vitamins (180 tablets).

Several years ago I went to GNC just to buy a box of MetRX powder.
Sales guy "Need any whey?"
Nope.
"How about some CellMass??"
Nope, i have my creatine already.
"We have Nitrix here"
not interested
"How about a week's free sample?"
fine, if it'll get you to ring me up so I can get on with my life.

Commission junkies.

Lol. Some little fat guy.

Well, just a quick question, it is kinda hard for me to get stuff on-line, so I am forced to go and buy at stores. I go to GNC, for now. And my friend goes to Hi-Health. Which is better, GNC or Hi-Health?

Wow, I feel bad for you guys. lol

Whenever I go to GNC around here, the worker is amazing. They are obviously body builders. I've only seen 2 different guys, both were built, nice, and not crazy lol. The only thing off what I ask, is when I go to the register, they always ask "how are you on your multis?" and I say good, they say "cool" and continue scanning my stuff. :) I think the GNC dudes are great.

Last Sunday, I went to GNC... got 20$ Whey, and Fish Oil for like 20$ all together (had gold card so savings on both)
