Don't really know what it is but you prob. wanna take it becuase one of your friends is taking it. I would not take it, but why take all that stuff? Why not just take protein??
As far as I have heard glutamine doesn't really do much. Some people say it helps with fat oxidation or whatever but the most recent word out is it really doesn't do much but end up in the toilet. I know if anything, it helps with immune function. I don't think its unsafe for any age...but I wouldn't waste my money. it would be better to invest in a good multivitamin
I know this is old but a 14 year old shouldn't take Glutamine... there is some evidence that Glutamine can affect HGH secretion... and this isn't something a 14 year old should be doing...
I find Glutamine to reduce the soreness from a workout... if I take it about 1 hour before on an empty stomach (2 grams)... and then sometimes I take some after...
