Weight-Loss glucomannan

I read about this on the Women's Health website. And then read the reviews of the vitamin website that they give. Apparently this stuff makes you feel full, so you don't eat as much, and lose weight. Any truth to it? Anyone know anything about it? Any side effects or negative impacts?

Other Side Effects:

Upset stomach, diarrhea (loose bowel movements), throwing up, and gas

I've taken them, just the pure Glucomannan capsule. Opened them up and put them in yogurt, protein shakes etc. There is no taste but a little grainy texture. I had no side effects however, I only used 1-2 per day. With any fiber supplement and excessive use, there will be side effects like loose stools and the like. I also had read about them in Women's Health and thought I'd give it a try. They do create a feeling of fullness and at the time I was trying the South Beach eating plan so it gave me the little extra fiber I wasn't getting in my diet. I'd give them a try if you are interested, they aren't expensive so it's not a huge loss if you don't like them.
