Hi all:waving:

Just letting you know that if their is a post that you found very informative to our weight loss journey or struck a cord. Well you can give reps for that person by clicking on the CLICK TO GIVE REPS FOR THIS POST which can be found under your name....in small print.

I have just re-read one of Lifesgood post and Cates and found very useful info for keeping the weight off in the strategies thread so I have given them both a positive rep and their little green boxes increases each time.

I hope this bit off info as been informtive. By the way we cannot do so for our own post:biggrinjester:

Bye for now.

Sam:hurray:

Hi Sam, Thanks for your rep. I never look to see if I've been repped & just did. Thanks Kannadew as well. Whoops!
You know, I have only rarely repped anyone. I usually say if I think they are really helpful & I like to have that personal contact. When you see the reps of some in other parts of the forum you know that something funny goes on with them. Some people have very few posts but a gadzillion rep points. Rare words but full of wisdom?!
I love our personal contact. We have a great rapport & camaraderie. Worth more than any rep points don't you think? Cheers all, Cate. (I don't mean to sound ungrateful because I'm not. It was nice to be repped. Thank you, xo)

Hi Cate no offense taken. I have known about the reps for a long time and their have been some very insightful posts I have read and thought...wow!!!!and it really struck a cord and I should have given them reps. But I read through yours and Lauren info (a few times actually) and I found them extremely positive to this forum.

So I gave credit where credit was due. So take a bow...lol!!!

Sam:)

Nah, it's that the points don't work the way you think. It's not one rep, one point. I repped you just now as a test, and yours went from 12 to 668 with just one click. I think it has to do with the rep that the person repping you has, too.

Many of us in the rest of the forum (non Cohens) have a very very tight comraderie as well, and we love repping each other. We leave personal messages in our reps.

People usually rep me because I say silly things. I also occasionally say something meaningful and when I do I sometimes get multiple reps for the same post, so maybe there is something to be said for quality over quantity as well. But yeah, the system is set up such that the reputation(s) of the person(s) repping you is much more heavily factored than the number of people who have done so.

It is quite strange here, though. For example I had something like 5000 rep the day I joined this side, while on the training forums the highest rep is something like 320 currently. Strange to someone who isn't aware of the mechanics of repping and hasn't yet picked up on the overwhelming friendliness and positivity of most of the regulars here, that is.

Hi Allyphoe, Blancita & (Focus). I have never really thought much about the repping stuff or had any idea how it worked and, in the process had not noticed who had repped me. I felt bad that I had not even noticed being repped as I thought it was mostly because I type so often &so much!
I think most of us are here for the same or similar reasons, the friendships, support & camaraderie. I appreciate all the support I get & if I can help anyone else along the way that's great. I am going to start checking out the exercise posts as I want to get fit so will be wandering more around the general forum.
If I was repped for every time I had been silly I would have a gadzillion rep points!
Anyway I'm off to add some more....... cheers, cate
