Getting Up In The Morning

I have trouble wakin' up in the morning. I know most people do, but it annoys me. Like I get up, eat something, then sleep again til I have to go to school.
What I want to do is: get up, eat somethin', do some cardio, go to school.

What can I do to help me get up and stay up? I get about 7 - 8 hours of sleep a night.

rinse your face and hair in the mornings when you wake up?? Or take a cold shower, that way u'll be to awake for your eyes to wanna shut again. Thats what i do, though i havent had your problem, it helps me stay awake and alert in the mornings..

im hard to get up in morning too, try this : go grocery store in fruit section and buy a little green bottle shaped like a lime - lime concentrate :D squirt some of that in your mouth in the morning and id like to see you try to go back to sleep

I usually dont have this problem but today I just couldnt wake up...therefore I missed the gym..better days are to come..the worst thing is when I miss school. To fight this I put the alarm clock on the other side of the room. The alarm c has to be really noisy..that will force you to get up to turn it off!

Hang a picture of someone that has the body, of which your goal is to be like, by your bed. Make sure that you will notice it when your alarm goes off in the morning.

Cold shower.....ahh, that thought kills me.

I take my showers as hot as my skin can stand. Granted, it does about put me back to sleep, but hey, thats the way I like it.

get a alarm clock that shakes the bed. Put it this way the one i got shake my roommates bed that is 3 rooms away. i would say 25-30 fts away, but he hears it more then feels it.

I am deaf so i have to have one, but it sure does the job of getting up!! hell if you can hear they got sonic blasters alarm clock, Those are LOUD!!

you can get either one from a hearing aid store online.

when you first wake up, think about your workout. You know if you go back to sleep you won't be able to work out. How will that make you feel later in the day?

I think you just have to tell yourself the right things to make it happen.

JUST DO IT

What time do you have to wake up? I have to get up at 5:45 every morning for school (yawn)...

I also found that hiding my alarm clock helps :p

Take a shower after you get up, you'll be plenty awake.

Ok I HATE waking up in the morning... Since your body instinctively wakes up as the sun comes out (or so I've heard), what I've been doing is turning on the lights 15 minutes before I wake up. And slowly, after about 15-30 minutes, I can get up and feel good.

Same as everyone else, I also hate getting up in the mornings. I will always leave it until the last possible moment - no chance of me ever doing cardio before work - that would interfere with my 'laying in a nice warm bed' time. But, as soon as I've had a shower (a warm one) I'm good to go.

Just suck it up and get up for your workout... Or, sleep in later and do your cardio at night.

BTW - stick your alarm across the room on a dresser or something and you will be forced to get up to turn it off.

Nobody said:
Set 3 different alarms. All with a 2 or 3 minute differerence.

This will definately get you up. =P

That's what I do + what maf mentioned -- my 3 alarms are in different areas, so if I go back to sleep after turning one off, I have to get up again, etc

Also, I got this tip from a video: turn something you want to do into a habit by making a 21-day commitment to it and after 21 days, make a 100-day commitment to it. It has been working for so far. I've been getting up between 6-630 everyday.

Getting up in the morning sucks. It doesn't matter how long i've been asleep for the part where you actually wake up and get up out of bed and do breakfast is the hardest.
