Hello Forum!
I'm a 43 year old family bloke located in the UK. I exchanged my unhealthy lifestyle for a better one almost three months ago, triggered by buying a husky puppy who is going to need lots of exercising. Wolfy is my motivator, walking partner, and jogging partner.
My starting weight was around 190 pounds. My BMI was approaching the obesity class - following years of self-abuse. Snacking was my downfall - chocolate biscuits, crisps, beer, cake etc.
My current weight is 157 pounds - a weight loss of 33 pounds! I have done this by regarding my campaign as a lifestyle exchange rather than as a slimming diet - my diet is based on health advice, a mixed diet with plenty of fresh fruit, salads, fish, fibre - and carbs. Exercise has grown gradually with the puppy - from short gentle walks to jogging etc.
I would like to lose a few more pounds yet - but I am equally interested in improving my fitness. I still have some fat around my torso which I wuld like to get rid of - and that is now more important to me than any target weight.
