I am all for eating clean and eating healthy. I have one dilemma, I suffer with something called oral allergy syndrome, this means that I am unable to eat raw fruit and veg. Which poses a problem with trying to eat clean and healthy. I see numerous smoothies and salads that look so good to eat but I can't, I currently want to do some juice detox in prep for summer. Does anyone have any idea how I can get my fruit and veg? I have been advised to fry or cook them but I don't think you can cook/fry things like celery, cucumber and lemons. Any ideas would be a great help.

I can't speak much for fruit (I don't eat them much any more), but you can steam many kinds of vegetables. I love them! usually a combination of carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower; sometimes I start with kale, since it takes a little longer. I usually drizzle on melted butter (not margarine!) or sprinkle on some Mrs. Dash. You can also simmer these veggies in broth. I grill asparagus sometimes when I cook outside.

You might also try roasted radishes - You might be surprised that they are quite mild, and taste nothing like the raw ones. Coat with a little olive oil and sea salt (or spice you like). Place them on a foil sheet and roast like you would with potatoes, either in the oven or outside...

Cheers!
