Getting my 1st car

I'm looking into buying my own car and I will be most likely getting a used car. The highest ill go for a used car is a little over $6000.

I found this 2002 Ford Mustang Deluxe Convertible and It looks great. I would love to own it and theres 81,000 miles on it which isn't bad for a used car corresponding with the price also.

I just have a couple questions about convertibles if anyone owns one or who has ever owned one.

1. Having the roof up, does it make a lot of noise when all the way up? because its not really a hard roof right?

2. Weather, Did anyone ever have huge issues during the winter with a convertible?

I know the issue Ive heard the most from people is that convertibles get a lot of attention whether it be from other drivers but mostly cops so thats an issue I guess. I'm not an ignorant driver at all and I always follow the law but everyone is always bringing that up with the cop aspect.

3. Over all was the experience with owning a convertible good or bad? and did you ever regret getting one?

4. If there were issues, did the good aspects of the car make up for the bad aspects?

I just want to see if I should move on and check out some other cars or maybe still consider this one.
I will eventually go to the car dealership and check the car out 1st hand but I thought it be really helpful and nice to get some info from owners or previous owners of a convertible. :jump1:

I have never owned a convertable but have taken rides in several of them. They are a little louder then a hard top, but isn't horrible. Now if you were talking a Jeep with a soft top, those can be kind of loud but from a car stand point, it didn't seem bad to me.

Make sure you never ever open it while you are driving. Be at a full stop. Don't need to go ripping it off the car :)
