Getting in Shape for MA

Well I finally found a dojo to join, it teaches a mix of Kenpo Karate, Aikido, and jiu jitsu. I've had six classes so far and sparring and rolling with these guys made me realize how bad of shape i'm in. I have class twice a week, and for right now the plan is to do 3 days of high octane cardio and 2 days of lifting.
The h.o.c. will be intervals off jump roping or heavy bag mixed with light db stuff like snatches, clean and press, etc..The lifting will just be a slight variation of Waterbury's hammer down program for mma.
As far as diet i'm not going to be counting calories, just eating 5-6 small clean meals throughout the day. My goal is just to lose about 2 pounds a week, eventually getting to around 180 probally. Some stats:
Weight: 203 (as of this morning)
Bench: 200x3
Deadlift: 275x3

Testing some other lifts later today, lifts are down from summer due to lack of training.
I'm sure some of you know a lot more about training from MA than I do, so if you have any advice please share it.

Waterbury's hammer down isn't too bad of a program. Keep with what you have outlined and see how you improve. Some other programs that have worked well for martial artists are The Tier Method and Defranco's Westside for Skinny Bastards.

But with what you have outlined, you should be pretty good. We'll see how progress goes and you can tweak from there.

H.O.C.- 8 rounds jump rope/ db swings

Only one day of lifting this week. It's hard to get in 5-6 workouts a week, but i'm trying to workout a schedule. Evo, you mentioned ws4sb, how much would that interfere with the HOC in terms of recovery? For right now I'm putting preferance on cardio as I have my first grappling tournament at the end of the month.

Monday-Lifting
---------------
Incline Bench- up to 190x3
Bent-Over Row- 3x8@115

The lifting wasn't really part of any program, just kinda done what I felt like. I'm not sure hoow to go about the liftine since I have the grappling tournament in less than 2 weeks, don't wanna be burnt out.

Class 1 hour 45 min.
Mostly concentrated on sparring

Tournament Saturday, will be competing in kata and grappling(ages 14-17).
Weight loss is going good, conditioning feels better. I was thinking of doing the Coan deadlift routine next, any thoughts?

Tournament was today...I won my first match by rear naked choke, lost my second. But it was fun and I gained some experience. Now that this is out of the way I'm going to get serious about lifting and conditioning. I've decided to do the beginner 5x5 but made deadlift main lower instead of squat and military instead of bench, I don't think it will make too much a difference. Start Monday
