Getting frustrated, advice?

Hey guys. I've been really bothered by something lately, and I would like advice/help.

So I'm a 19 year old male, about 180cm tall. A year ago I weighed about 127lbs. But then some very troubling things happened in my life, and to be honest I kind of let myself go. 2 weeks ago I decided to get off my butt and do something about it. I started going on the elliptical every day for an hour. In that time I usually average at around 1000~1100 calories burned (I know it depends on different things so it might not be exactly accurate, but that's what it reads anyway.) I feel like I work really hard for that hour. I've also started eating about 800calores-1300calories per day depending on how I feel. So I do think I am doing things to lose weight. But it's been 2 weeks and I haven't really dropped much weight. I weigh 172lbs currently. I just bought a scale 3days ago so I don't know how much I weighed 2 weeks ago but it couldn't of been that much more. When should I expect some REAL weight loss? Also how much do you guys think is a realistic amount for me to lose in a month? It was kind of my goal to be 'healthy' on July 9th because I'm going back home to see friends and family then.

Lastly if you have any ideas I could lose weight faster I would appreciate it.
