Getting fit

Whats the quickest way to get fit....

at current im 182.1 lb's, 6ft 1 tall (17y.o male) im going on holiday in about a month to portugal with about 10 mates some girls too. And i wanna loose abit if im gnna be wearing a minimal ammount (Especially around the oppostie sex).



Im not fat but i got a bit of a gut and am really unfit :S i've got the willpower to eat healthy just trying to find an activity that'll get me fit quickly and hopefully will burn alot of calories

To make yourself look a bit more toned and grow muscle you need to do strength training, like weights. To be fit endurance-wise(heart, lungs, etc) and to burn more calories by exercise you need to do aerobic workout, like walking/jogging/swimming/bycicling, etc. Increased muscle mass will help you burn more calories while at rest, b/c muscle burns more calories then fat.

You can do a combination of both strength/aerobic training for maximum result. In a month you will start seeing results, if you start now, but don't expect a huge difference, because it takes time to build new muscles.

In addition to exercise make sure you reduce calories you eat to get maximum fat loss. The best way to do it is to track everything you eat in a journal and calculate calories for those foods. There are many internet calorie counting websites.
