Getting bored

I need to start running again but I get so bored with it. I use a treadmill and I really hate it, but whenever I run outside I feel like I'm going to pass out. Anyone have tips for not getting bored with running?
 
try to get better at it. Set a timed goal on the treadmill and try to break your previous record. Make it a game
 
Maybe use a heart monitor, if the machine doesnt have one, maybe get a watch with one. Keep your focus on keeping ur active heartrate at 1.8*resting, kinda like a short term goal to keep u pushing urself instead of getting bored.

Also i found a little music never hurt either.....
 
Imagine that someone is chasing you :p
And every day they get faster, and faster so you have to keep a step ahead :p
And imagine where they are chasing you, a forest, a mountain, etc. By the time you picture everything in your head, you get your body and your mind worked out. :D
 
try to work your way up. run 4km .. then 6 km then 8km without stopping and so on.
also try to run in different places to add some variety ... also maybe go out and bike places.

I know what you mean. I wish I had a running partner. A few years ago all the girls from the office (we have summer hours so we get off at 1:00 on Fridays) we would all run in this awesome park after work in and out of the forest etc...I miss that. Now running on the street is so boring bymyself. It really pushes you when you have a partner. What about a running room? or running groups, we have those and they have alot of different challenges i.e.training for marathons etc...or just running with people.
