Getting back and hopefull better

I have suffered an arm injury and now need to get it back up to normal, after 8 1/2 weeks of braces, casts, slings and what not. I'd also like to get a full body bodyweight workout to get in shape for sports after my arm is okay, and as I stated in the title make myself better than before.I'd like to get stronger, in the previously weak arms, the already strong legs, the weak back and a stronger core and chest. I'd really like to become stronger, mass comes later and possibly get showing abs. but in order to get showing abs I need a diet. im bad with diets, unless i have a plan i stink at keeping them. So i'd like to get some advice to get started. Thanks for replies and advice
 
So basically I've decided to replace the most common "worst things" soda and candy. Soda: carnation choclate milk with no added sugar, and v8. Is that good? Candy:grapes and cantelope. Overall I think I eat those the most so it should make a difference. How about running. A mile 3 days of a week. 2 1/2 mile 3 days a week? whatever you think isnt overdoing it.
