gettin back in the groove

I need to get into shape for the police academy, I am going to start next summer. Up until about two years ago I ran and lifted weights on a regular basis and had no problem with it. Then I had to get a real job and was going to school full time. Now that I am trying to get back in shape it seems a lot harder than it was before. I find that I can run about a half of a mile before I become winded. Does anyone have any suggestions on building endurance. I am open to any ideas.
 
take it easy and rest a bit u will get there .. also try eating foods that boost your metabolism like tuna so you can work harder at that endurance :) good luck
 
And don't over do it at first... Start up slow! From experiance I know one overloaded day will ruin your entire week =\.
 
sometimes you just have to force yourself to move on...you will think you are tired mentally,,,but physically you are not...
