G'day folks

Ahem.

G'day all.

I'm just a skinny git from Australia looking for good ways to improve.

I'm trying to build strength, as well as endurance and flexibility.

I've been to a whole load of sites, and read a whole load of books, but I don't know enough about the topic to mix the info on Weight training, diet, flexibility, and aerobic workouts to put together a good routine/eating habits.

I work 5 days a week, so I need short everyday routines for before or after work, then a hard full workout for my days off.

Anyway, I'll get to reading some of the threads you've already got up, no point in asking you to repeat yourselves eh?


Might throw some numbers up.

Height - 5' 10"
Weight - 150 lbs (Give or take, I'm converting from kgs here)
Mile run - somewhere between 9 and 11 mins, it's been a while I timed it.
No idea what I can press, going to guess at 40kg. (The weight of a boxing bag full of water) - Could be more, could be less. Either way I want to do at least double that.


I don't have a routine at the moment, I stretch, go for a run, then pull of a handfull of situps, push ups and chin ups.

I don't have any weight equipment, though I'm pretty serious about this, so I may get some.


That's about everything, Hope to stick around for a bit, maybe in a few months I'll know enough about this fitness business to help folk myself.
