G'day all

Hey up, my names Brendan and I'm overweight (feels like an alcholics anonymous meeting). hehe

I'm 6'0" and weigh 198lbs and I've just turned 20. I've just spent the last 8 months travelling around Australia New Zealand and Thailand. When I set of last October I weighed 216lbs. Although I was overweight I did alot of walking at work. But after two months of drinking and sitting on a beach in Aus, my weight had'nt gone up, but my health had gone down (in two months I probably had 5 days where I didn't drink any beer) and I looked a bit worse than this;

After 6 motnhs in New Zealand where I did a lot less drinking (In three months there were only about 5 days where I had some beer) I started running and eating healthy my weight came down to its current 198lbs and I now look like this;

I've now been back at home 3 weeks, and have forced myself to get out there and get running again,(did 2 1/4 miles everyday this week and jus steped up to 3 1/4 miles today) I'm also in charge of cooking now so its salad for dinner every night now and when I get a job i'll start going to the gym to do weights and a few aerobic sesssions.

I'm aiming to get down to 175lbs and want to run a mile and a half in 10mins, would also like to take part in a long distance run at some point. I've always had a large waistline and now I'm going to banish it once and forever!

I started out the same at 200 lbs, now I am 174 and 12% bodyfat, so you can do it.
