Sport gatorade? good/bad?

Im with Derwyddon,
I do long distance running as well as track and have tried G-ade before because a few of my track buddies were just going nuts over it. so i did but i also made them drink nothing but water for the race while i had G-ade. At the end of the race i swore never to touch the stuff again and my 4 buddies swore never to touch G-ade again.

I knew before i tried it that it would only hinder my performance.
 
Damn, I should just pour my old stock out... :/ I've had it for months and wanted to slowly kill it but well... I think I'm better off getting rid of it.
 
Gatorade is just fine. Water is in gatorade. For any activity your body will need a certain amount of sugar and can be enhanced with electrolytes.
 
But would water be BETTER? I mean if I were to just stict to strictly water and no gatorade how much better would it be? NOw don't I think I'm going to go out and buy more, I just hate wasting what I have... I used Gatorade last year in tandom with my workouts to get away from soda and it definitely worked very well for me supplementing that. I just would hate to pour out the 2-3 gallon jugs I have. :/
 
Go ahead and finish off what you have, then once their all gone go a couple of weeks on nothing but water then run a race and see how you feel. It really depends on how your body reacts to the sugar in it.

Trainerty have you ever actually run a 10+ mile race while using G-ade?

Well you drive to Cincinnati Ohio and it's yours. :)

I handled the Gatorade last year fine but I don't run races... Plus, its winter, I don't run outside period, much less in the cold.
