Gastric balloon

hi
I was desperate to lose weight and even though I heard the balloon can have bad side effects I thought the benefits outweighed it all.
I had it done almost 4 weeks ago and it has been absolute hell! I had such a bad reaction to it i had to reduce the water in the balloon after 4 days. The neasea and cramps were severe!
Since the adjustment it eased but I still felt neasea and bloating and now have severe constipation . I didn't go to the toilet for like a week and the. It was liek murder just to go. I had hemoroids and blood from the backside . The doctor gave me some enemas and movical and I can only go to the toilet with an enema! I feel constant neasea and if I eat something unhealthy then I really pay the price !
On the upside I have lost weight, 4 kgs in 2 weeks and my clothes getting loose but I feel so terrible most of the time.
I'm actually thinking of taking it out but I don't want to waste all that money A$6000! I've had it a month but have lost hope that this neasea will go away and constipation get better.
Anyone had a similar experience and got over it or any advice? I just feel so horrible most of the time now!

In all honesty, Satori, I really think that you need to be putting your questions to those on post-bariatric surgery forums, since its members may be far more appreciative of the symptoms you're currently experiencing, thus, providing you with a more meaningful response.

Whilst the forum may prove helpful in allowing you to manage post op weight loss, its members are probably not as well-versed in understanding the complications that can arise from bariatric procedures, hence why you've not received any answers to your questions.

In addition to researching post bariatric surgery forums, I'd suggest that you speak to your doctor or the surgeon who performed the surgery for their opinion upon why you've continued to endure such symptoms.

I know and work with individuals who have under-gone bariatric surgery (turning the stomach into a pouch). After spending 2-4 weeks on pureed food, due to a reduction in stomach size, their diet is largely high protein, while being incredibly low in carbohydrate and fat.

Due to the fact that their stomach no longer contains a valve, allowing food to remain for the length of time that it once did, they remain prone to 'dumping syndrome', particularly when eating foods that happen to be high in sugar or fat. When experiencing 'dumping syndrome', they've also mentioned a severe sense of nausea, in addition to turning green.

Although your stomach isn't exactly a pouch, Satori, due to the fact the balloon has restricted its size, it's possible that you're encountering something similar when consuming a meal that happens to be high in simple carbohydrate or fat.

However, as I've already stated, consult the opinions of others who've under-gone the same procedure, in your attempt to understand how best to manage post-op symptoms.

Thank you for your advice. I have decided to take the balloon out as I've struggled too much with it and I think exercising and eating healthily is the better option for me right now. Getting it out today !
