Gas...

So, since I'm working out on a regular basis and eating very healthy, I've noticed that I have gas and cramping on a regular basis. My stomach always feels bloated and the gas is just out of control.

Anything I can do to help with this??

What is your current diet like in detail?

Breakfast is 1 cup of coffee with cream, a banana and Kashi GoLean Crunch
Snack is mixed raw veggies - carrots, broccoli, cauliflower
Lunch is a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread
Pre workout is a Protein bar
Dinner is usually a chicken breast or whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce or grilled portabello wraps.

I also drink about 75 oz of water, a cup of decaf hot green tea in the evening, and take vitamins/supplements (fish oil, multi-vitamin, green tea extract, b-12)

It might be the broccoli and cauliflower, it doesn't affect me, but I've heard some people are sensitive to developing gas from them.

It could also be the cream (lactose) or the wheat bread/ pasta (gluten). A lot of people are allergic to those things.

BTW, try cooking the veggies and see if it makes a difference. I nuke mine for 2 minutes in the microwave.

The thing is, I don't have any food allergies and I enjoy them and they are good for me.

SO the question is, what can I do to get rid of or help with the gas/bloating? I've been eating this way since the new year so I think I've given my body plenty of time to adjust to this lifestyle.

You have in general high "gas" foods in your diet. I am going to state that I would wager your caloric amount is to low unless you are 5'4 and 115 lbs and even then I would be concerned. To low of calories does cause digestion issues to be more problematic.

Regardless of that though I will not lecture but simply state that you may want to look into a digestive enzyme to take allow better enzyme production in your caloric deficit.

Raw veggies can be hard for the body to digest and that could be it...I love brocoli but it neve fails everytime I eat it i get so bloated and it hurts pretty bad. I have also found that if I eat salads I get the same effect. It doesnt matter how often I eat them my body just never adjusts. I would really sugest taking something like beano when you are going to be eating veggies...if it doesnt take all the gas away it will make a difference on how bad it can get.
