gaining weight????

It seems that I've been gaining weight even though I'm on a diet and I exercise.

At first I was really stressed out about it, but I figured I must have gained a lot of muscle from my workouts and that accounted for the extra weight. Because I'm sure that I have slimmed down quite a bit even thinner than I was at a lower weight if that makes any sense.

When can I expect my weight to go down? I don't just want to keep gaining muscle and not lose any fat.
 
I can tell you know, its not muscle. Possibly could be period water retention however?
But perhaps your idea of 'healthy' and the actual calorie consumption of what you are eating differs?
