Gain size but lose belly fat???

Hi,
I am 6.1 tall and pretty lean overall.. My dear ones feel I need to put on some size (shoulders and over all frame).. however I am worried to eat cheesy n fatty food since I have lower belly flesh already..
At gym, I work out with some weight training (not too heavy).. and do abs crunches too..
but the question remains.. do I focus on building my body and eat high cal food or do I look at burning my low belly fat? but that probably means I lose more weight.. which is not ideal..
any suggestions welcome...!
 
first of all- you cant lose you lower belly fat- impossible to "spot burn" fat. you should work on building muscle and eating a clean diet- cheesy and fatty foods should be cut out anyways- no matter what kind of diet you want to supplement you workout regime with
 
just do cardio twice a week and strength training 3 times a week. keep energy intake equal to energy expanditure. don't need to eat heeps to gain mass. fatty foods such as cheese and stuff are still a good cource of protein so its ok to have it in your diet.
