Gain height programs?

Hi,

Anybody tried those "be taller" programs? Are they for real? Did anybody actually gain any height with these programs? Is it possible to increase height after 20?

Thanks

Which program did you choose?

Didn't choose any, because THEY DON'T WORK!

There are only a couple ways to spur growth, either through injection of human growth hormone (can be dangerous) or through testosterone injections. usually its growth hormone in younger kids who aren't as tall as they should be, but I had a friend get testosterone for a few months because his doc was making him 'finish puberty' (he was 18-19 at the time), and he did in fact grow a few inches, his voice deepened a hair, and he finally had to start shaving.

either way, a licensed doctor would determine you needed this kind of treatment.
nothing you can order off the internet will do anything to increase height, and could very likely harm you.

Thanks. What about the posture correction streching exercises that prevent shrinkage? Are they harmful or are they OK?

Ultimately, height is determined by your genetics.

Actually, that's not entirely true. Genetics plays a role but environment, mostly diet, does as well. Identical twins have the same genetics. There have been cases where separated twins grew up in different countries, one impoverished, and one grew much taller than the other, about 5". Anyway, most twins growing up in the same environment have about 1" height difference maybe 2", again same genetics.

Wow, I didn't know it was possible to "not finish" puberty. I'll be 20 in 6 months and I still don't shave - at all. Nothing, no dirty stash, no peach fuzz. I'm 5'10" though, and I have "body hair", except for on my face and arms. My friends tell me I'm lucky (shaving is a pain), but if it turns out that I didn't "finish puberty", I'd love to get a few more inches of height.

If anyone knows about this more in depth, let me know. Another weird thing about myself - I didn't hit puberty until really late. I was almost 17 before anything, and I mean anything, started.

If you hunch and slouch, posture correcting exersices can make you appear taller since they make you stand up tall and proud

Ok, here's my gain heigt program, but it only works from birth until about 17... eat lots of plain cherios cerial. I won't guarantee it, but it seemed to work for me... a little too well. Trust me on this one guys, being tall is a pain in the you-know-what!

Height Enhancing Techniques

I'm 5.6" tall and my short stature had always been an impediment for achieving poise and self-confidence. It was about two years ago that I met my wife and we almost instantly made connection. She is about half an inch shorter than me but I would always feel a little insecure whenever she wore sandals. This would make her look much taller than myself. Not that anything wrong with that but society collectively feeds us with some stereotypes and a guy shorter than a woman would always raise eyebrows. My wife (who back then was my girlfriend) was conscious of myself being a little uneasy. She started coaching me on improving my dress coordination and also suggested that I should try wearing those walktall shoes. Doing a little research myself I gathered some info on stretching exercises. Although it’s true that exercises will not make you grow taller but it definitely helped me improve my posture. We certainly have more height hidden behind our slouched back and shabby dressing than we ever realize. There are some very basic stretching exercises and vertical fashion techniques that together can make a noticeable improvement in your height. And lastly it’s all a matter of perception. It all boils down to how we perceive ourselves. A better height can add to our confidence, but again, it’s our mind that perhaps makes us insecure. Some short dudes possess endless energy that makes their presence much taller than their height. You can follow the link below to get more info on posture exercises and some basic visual height enhancement techniques:

Good luck

It does not work! I am 5'0, so I know it doesnt work. Its all about how tall your parents are and stuff..it runs in the family. I am 5'0, my disabled sister is 4'10, mom is 5'4, dad is 5'10

Very interesting. Had I known that, I would've never eaten junk food or drank so much soda as I did during my childhood years.

I think what he meant was more extreme, like malnutrition. With all do respect, in Africa the malnourished kids arent growing 6 feet tall. Same with a fifth of the population in North Korea. Here in America where food is in abundance it is commom to be that tall.

Nutrition(or lack of) as well as genetics can both play a role in height.

Meh, I am only 5'6" tall myself and a 20 year old male. I can't say it bothers me. I wouldn't mind being taller though also. My girlfriend is a bit smaller than me but if she wore heels would be taller, but she doesn't really wear them often anyway.

I'm not that bothered really, I make up for it with my massive personality. To be honest I never really notice unless I am with a friend who is actually very tall in general, rather than somebody who is just tall compared to me. Sometimes then you can notice, but it doesn't really bother you.

I would focus on just having a more confident personality and build a nice and defined body with decent lean muscle mass and you will look great anyway regardless of your height...When it comes to confidence I have bucket loads but that comes naturally to me, I'm not really sure of any ways to improve your confidence if you don't just naturally have it, but it can be done even thorugh improving your diet and getting a good exercise routine!!

Oh also in England it seems like there are less tall people compared to say the americans on this forum who a lot of them are like 15/16 and 6ft + tall.

If growth plates are closed, there is no way to increase height. Genetics is the number one factor in height. If both parents are tall, big chance that you will be tall.
