ok.... ive been at it for a while...

originally i was 364lbs.

so now i made a commitment.. i wanna lose 50 lbs. in two months.

i wana start tomorrow... i tried that a week ago.. but i'm pretty sure i was not eating enough.. i lost 13 pounds in 5-6 days? and then i got sick.. pretty sure because of the lack of food... but i have no life... i literally turned off my phone and ima keep it off till the next two months. i know, some people think i'm weird and crazy .. fact is my friends all love to go eat out, and are full of drama.. so i need a vacation from that... but yea.. any way, i need to know how much to eat.. and what to eat.. ive read the sticky's.. but for some reason i tune them out?? i don't know what my problem is there...

but if someone can hlp me achieve my goal... i'm not weight lifting at the gym anymore because i really don't want muscle..i'm weird and i acknowledge that..

note, all i wana do is go to the gym, work out. and come home.. then ill feed horses and what not to keep me busy... that's all...

but as of now.. here are my stats...
19 yrs old.
345 lbs.
6'2

if anyone can hlp me.. that would be extremely awesome. and greatly appreciated.

I think you need to readjust your expectations. 50 lbs in 2 months is an unrealistic and unhealthy goal. Cutting yourself off from friends and family in order to starve yourself into this goal is also unhealthy.

You say you've read the stickies but can't seem to take them to heart and tune them out. The thing is THAT is what you need to be doing. No one can make you do it except you .. you have to not tune out healthy, reasonable ways of eating and exercising.

I wish there were something else to tell you and Lord knows I wish there were a magic bullet somehwere ... because I know I'd want it too. But there's not. You have to eat healthily, eat less, exercise more. That's really the bottom line.

50 pounds in two months is not at all unrealistic or unhealthy. Yes, it is at the high end of what you would want to or be able to achieve, but it is absolutely possible. At your weight, your body will actually be able to lose fat much quicker than other people because your body's caloric needs to maintain that weight are higher. You can significantly reduce your calories but still keep them in a safe and healthy range and that calorie reduction will help you to lose a good amout of fat very quickly.

I always recomend to my clients to start a weight loss program first for a week or two before adding in exercise. If you start exercising and dieting at the same time, your calorie reduction will be so extreme it will shock your body too much and cause you to actually hold onto fat.

I can definitely help you out if you would like, you can either post back on here or I will go ahead and send you a private message with my contact information if you would like to get ahold of me that way.

i might need to adjust my expectations.. but i'm not.. i mean.. if i don't get to my goal, it's not the end of the world.. and i didn't intend to "starve" my self.. you act as if i just woke up and decided to completely stop eating to lose weight..

and about the stickies, you're right. ill go and read them.

ok, so it says since I'm new to the forum I can't use private messages for 5 days, so I'll just go ahead and post my contact information here for you.
Feel free to give me a call or email me and we can talk and get started on helping you achieve your goals!

I agree with everything in the above post. That is some good advice.

50 lbs in 2 months = 6 lbs a week, give or take a fraction.

That's not healthy or realistic. A general guideline for a healthy rate of loss is 1% of your bodyweight per week. At 364 lbs, you could expect to lose between 3-4 lbs per week HEALTHILY. You might lose more the first week or two due to water loss, but you won't be able to keep that up if you're being healthy.

I stand by my statement. 50 lbs in 2 months is not healthy or realistic. Setting yourself up to be disappointed will only make you give up faster. Set realistic goals and if you manage to exceed them, then celebrate that. Don't set yourself up for failure.

ok, i believe you now, i actually sat down and started searching..

so at my weight at 350 (it' a lil less but w/e)
i need to eat 3879? calories to stay even?
and if i cut that by 30% that should come out to 2,715? (on top of my head)

and if i work out.. ill be ok, right?

because i would eat less then 1,200 cals a day, with working out burning over 600 calories.. i'd assume i went into .. whats it called... starvation mode?

if i'm wrong.. plz leme know? and what do u recomend i buy, food wise..

i'm taking everything u guys have to say to heart.. and i'm now just trying to lose 50 lbs. asap so i can braid my hair and pierce my lip.. so any input you have will be greatly appreciate.

i was a similar weight to you when i started. give yourself at least 3-4 months minumum to drop 50lb. You will drop a large amount very quickly at the beginning and then you should see regular 2-4lb losses. Keep a diet of about 2000 cals a day, and try to make that more protein than carbs (stick with meat and veg usually works best, stay off processed and flour based foods, though the odd cheat im sure is ok)

50 lbs in teo months is way too much

not only is it unhealthy, but very difficult to achive,
odds are that you will not reach this goal

this is going to ruin your motivation and ultimately cause you to give up

setting realistic goals can really help your progress
