Full Workout

Sorry I have all of these questions, but I am a beginner and want to do stuff right... I have 5 day workout schedule consisting of Cardio/Abs 2 out of the 5 days and the rest i try to target Arms/Shoulders // legs/back but I try to not do them all in the same day (ie. arms and legs both in one day). Lately when i do my workouts I feel that Im not getting th full workout i should UNLESS i do cardio with it... and all my cardio consists of is jogging for 30 minutes on a treadmill (I also play 5 on 5 basketball 1 night a week) .. but I feel when I weight lift thats not enough even though i go until I cant -- do you guys have any tips/tricks that will help me feel like I got a full work out? My workouts take about 45 minutes each day, and I feel tired after but I dont feel like I got EVERYTHING (hard to explain hoping you know what I mean) thanks again

GRRR! Reply someone!

are u going to failure on your reps? or stopping just when it gets a bit hard?
depends what your wanting out of it all....muscles or fitness...?

FAILURE, i lifted yesterday and my arms felt DEAD (felt good in a way) ill just have to push myself harder for cardio

Drop all the arm isolations and concentrate on big compound lifts, benches, dips, pull/chin ups, rows, over head presses, all of those lifts do a number on your arms. Also using free weights instead of machines will help a lot.

I have read that it is not beneficial to work out until failure, ..I do not know why? does anyone have any information about this also...because I do not, am I cheating myself...???

yeah i agree with silv.... the compound exercises will do more for you. Depending on what weight ur using you could be in failure after one rep....ie. 1rm training...again this all depends on what you r trying to achieve...size...fitness??? have you tried doing diffrent things like supersetting, stripsetting...etc? Im doing strip setting this week and i never knew 2kg could be so heavy!
