Below is a notice I came across while in my Dr's office this week. I can not believe that someone would do such a thing. I personally called the lady who wrote it and got her permission to put this on some websites where I thought people could help. Please read the letter that she wrote below. (copied directly from her letter), and please feel free to call her for your own verification. Blessings to all who help. Maybe you could get a group from your church or work to all donate together.

My son, Sgt. Jason Blackwell is attached to the 82nd Airborne unit out of Ft. Bragg NC. He & his unit were depolyed to Afghanistan Jan 31, 2007. For the most of these soldiers, this is their 3rd tour of duty to Afghanistan & Iraq. The guy's personal belongings were shipped ahead & when they arrived at their final destination, ALL their personal stuff had been stolen 7 replaced with rocks. What kind of sick person could do this to these guys who put their life on the line every single second they are over there? These guys had purchased iPods, mp3 players, psp systems, cd, dvd, etc. all with their personal money so they could have some sort of entertainment. Now they have nothing. There are 42 guys/gals in his group & they would appreciate anything you could donate. They are stationed in the mountain area & they are 1 1/2 hrs away from any town. It is snowing & very cold there during the night. They need long johns (size L to 2X), electric blankets, hand & feet warmers, white socks, body was, shampoo, unscented wipes, toothpaste, deodorant, snacks, magazines, any type of entertainment items. Feel free to contact me at 910-625-8733 or 910-914-0055 if you have any questions. Below is the address if you wish to send them a package yourself. Thank you for your help, Teresa Blackwell - PROUD Mother of a US Soldier.
