Is there a way to figure out how many calories are in fruits and vegetables? Obviously I know they are good for me and I know most of the benefits, but when I need a calorie count how do I include fruits and vegetables?

Do a google search "banana nutrition facts" etc.. The sites tell you how many calories are in whatever serving size you enter. Also listed is all of the nutritional information about the fruit/vegetable.

Random addition: bananas have a lot more calories/carbs than one would think.

i use fitday.com

but i also have about 3 different books that list the nutrients in various items (including restaurants) ... and i will use them from time to time to compare to fitday .. or look up foods that i have a craving for.

any online food diary will have that info - as well as one of the 100s of nutrition data sites on the web - almost all pull from the USDA database.

Its not so much about gaining weight, its more about keeping an accurate count of my caloric intake.
