Hi everyone...

I love fruit (e.g. watermelon, honeydew, durian) but I need a hi-fibre diet too. Can anyone suggest which fruits has a hi-fibre nutrition in them. Right now I try to reduce my carbs in take because my weight has hit plateau.

Thanks.

strawberries
raspberries...

check Nutrition facts, calories in food, labels, nutritional information and analysis – NutritionData.com or The World's Healthiest Foods for some research...

Why do you think reducing carbs is going to help out with a plateau and what makes oyu think you're plateauing?

i eat bread, rice and sometimes potato. Some of it make my stomach bloating so I need to cut it some of it.

Cut out the wheat and potato, and keep in the fruits and vegetables. If wheat makes you bloat cut it out for a week, you could be intolerant to it. Rice and potato shouldn't make you bloat though...

well i seldom take potatoes unless it's mashed potatoes or fries. as for bread, well I've started to stop taking bread. I love eating fruit during lunch time especially if the cafeteria's food sold out. I need to know which fruit has a lot of fiber to help my food digestion better.

Slashing carbs "can be" an "option" dependent one's prior history, but at least IMO, it wouldn't be one of the first to consider (again dependent on the person).

Carbs "can be" one of the most grossly misunderstood but important nutrient of the big three. Manipulating carbs can be powerful, but I am not near ready to recommend this, as there is far too much information "about YOU" I do not know.

If one is healthy and includes a solid exercise program, a personalized diet structure (say a traditional calorie deficit approach) and includes persistance and consistancy, this could work miracles for most without internal physical complications.

The MOST important thing to self worry about or be concerned with in my opinion is whether the food item you are eating fits within the caloric limitations set "personally" for you.

For example, If eating at night fits the caloric "approximation" equation, dont fret over it. As people sometimes do.

Within this in mind, the other issue (besides your personal calorie approximation) to be concerned with are the ratios of nutrients you are getting throughout the day, and how well the fruit fits at the time you are eating it.

Sometimes people fret too much over fruit when weight training and deficit dieting, ---->When it ISNT a concern--in the most basic and traditional sense.

EAT IT! :) As part of your dietary circumference! The body can ultilize quick absorbing carbs such as Fructose (especially at certain time periods).

Just some food for thought:

You have to remember this about deficit dieting:

You are in fact creating a energy shortage, and due to this, the body literally eats its self for a fuel source (think canabolism).

Just like you wouldnt like to bite your own arm, the body doesnt like to have itself for dinner, and will give off responses in various forms as a result.

No way around this. Cry in your pillow, yell at your momma, kick your dog, and when your done, nothing has changed. Well, maybe some personal stress :)

In other words cravings are going to occur and psychological battles are going to be run into constantly.

But there are ways to combat these complications.

Dont worry about the fruit. Natural fruit is fine even at night (yes, I realize some can be so-called carb sensitive), but especially after a good workout. Natural fruit can be nutritious, and some contain a good amount of fiber.

What's for dinner then? FRUIT! :) Especially surrounding your workout.

ROCK ON!

Try eating whole wheat bread instead of white bread, brown rice instead of white rice, and sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes.

thanks to everyone who giving me a good tips. Right now I make sure to eat papaya, watermelon and bananas. Well i search from The World Healties Food website. A good website for a starter like me.

Plum is something hard to find in my place. I think i can manage with pear and sweet potatoes.
