I work in an office, it is equipped with a fridge and a microwave. I wanted your all's opinion on the frozen meals, like Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine. Do you suppose that they are actually good for dieters?

I have the lean cuisine chicken parmesean and various other ones all the time. I make sure they're under 300 calories (most are) and preferrably under 8 grams of fat.

They're usually high in sodium though, which doesn't really bother me much anyways.

The Amy's line is very good tasting and some of them have lower sodium than the other brands...

or just make your own frozen meals...

yeah my mom said her nutritionist told her lean cusines and healthy choice have too much sodium in them.. anybody know why thats bad? i cant figure it out!

Sodium... is that salt... makes you retain water... is that why?

I never thought of making my OWN frozen meals. Great idea Maleficent!

maybe but i thought just because u retain water , that doesnt mean you've gained any fat.. so i dont see why its so bad

salt makes you retain water which makes it look like you don't lose weight when you step on the scale.

uh... actually, salt makes u retain water which is bad, yes.
but more importantly too much salt is bad for your blood pressure.
salt can make ur blood pressure sky rocket and cause a stroke and/or heart attack.
