Frequent, often Severe Leg Cramps

Hi - as long as I can remember I'd wake up in the middle of night with leg cramps after strenuous days. This summer though I've been experiencing them in the middle of the day, morning, night, etc. I've gone down from 180-185 to 170 this summer, mostly do to eating less (work schedule) and exercising more rigorously.
My daily diet is typically a couple cups of coffee and either cereal or an egg sandwich with some fruit, typically a banana .
a light lunch- sandwich or dinner leftovers
a light dinner
and on average 3-6 alcoholic beverages.
Could the cramps be from dehydration? lack of food? both?
Thanks for the help

It could very well be dehydration. 3-6 alcoholic beverages every day is a little excessive and your body is likely to not respond well. Also, try adding extra fruit to your diet for the minerals.

And stretch after exercise. Always.
