Hi all!
I was anorexic for 5 years but have since recovered well and been so for 10 years. After ups and downs, trial and error i have maintained a healthy weight despite no exercise.....catch is - I always exercised - through my very physically demanding job. 12 hours a day, 14 days on, a week off roster. Being supervisor also kept me very busy.
Gym work got me into fitness. It also led to anorexia. I developed a lazy attitude to gym/fitness by incorporating exercise through work after recovery.
3 months ago I injured my hand. I couldn't do the job to capacity as much and my normal 10 hours+ activity has been cut in half and now I'm gaining weight.
I need to go to gym, but so scared to. I have defense mechanisms at play that make me afraid I'll take it too far again.
But i am doing well at changing my paradigms about it so i can start my new fitness regime tomorrow without worrying that I'll go too far.
I need help in toning while being patient and healthy. I am aware of my old traps; i want to enjoy the process of exercise without going extreme. In my good days, i loved weight training; i had so much fun!
I need help in enjoying the journey, tips to keep motivated. I get down when gaining weight.
Insights/questions welcome!
