OK so im trying to get my not so healthy butt back into shape.. i would like to lose the beer gut and also tone up...

i know that eating is equally important as exercising..

my question is really where so i start... with food.. what kind of foods should i be eating? my diet now consists of microwaveable foods and appleebees..
(or chilis) im just to lazy to cook.. but also is there any supplements that i should be taking?? vitamins? protein shakes?? that type of thing..

pretty much i just need to know how i should attack this..

oh ya im 28 yrs old and weight about 200 lbs.. im content with the weight.. just want to be leaner and tone.. (get ride of the belly and start working out agian)

The 2-3 stickies above should answer the majority of your questions.

Take a multi-vitamen (just my opinion).
Try to drink 1 gallon of water a day, at least.
Read and follow the Stickies.

So, I know 3 food groups you should avoid:

1. Microwave foods
2. Applebees
3. Chilis

Start making your own food and you'll know what's in it. That's always a good start.

I am sorry man, I am a guy... If you take away #1, I will die from starvation or move back with my mother!!!

What, make my own food--what do you mean? I just set it and forget it!!!

To lose weight, your diet should consist of 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% GOOD fats such as nuts. Protein actually burns fat on its own.

Don't forget to weight train, as muscle burns fat too.

Stay away from alcohol and soda. Even diet soda is no good.

Make small changes such as ordering vegetables instead of fries as your side at restaurants and drink lots of water!!

For those who say to drink a gallon of water today: it's good advice, but the body can only use 8-10 ounces every 20 mins., so don't try to chug it all in a short period of time.

Good luck!!
