Hello, I'm new here. I've been reading some of the threads and I was amazed at the great advice you guys give some of the other posters, so I decided to make a thread. I've good a pretty good work out routine and I just need help on what to eat. I'm looking to lose weight and fat. I weight 280 and my goal weight is 205.

Breakfast 6:30AM: 2 Whole eggs, Apple and green tea

Snack 9:30AM: Apple or Orange

Lunch 12:30PM: Chicken Salad with water and some veggies.

Snack: 3:30PM Granola Bar. (Would a PB&J sandwich be okay? lol)

Work 2:30PM - 6:45PM

Dinner 7:00PM: Chicken, rice, veggies and water.

Gym 8:00PM - 9:30PM

PWO snack: ?????

I don't know if that's a good meal plan that's why I'm asking you guys for help.
Hopefully you guys can help me make one.Thank you very much

No way that's enough calories.

Yeah I exercise about 5 times a week.
I should be eating more than than that?
What else should I add?

edit: I added all that food on fitday.com and it says that's about 2000 calories. Maybe I did it wrong??

You probably didn't do it wrong. A lot of times people don't take portion size into account. Even a salad with a big piece of chicken breast can come in somewhere at around 400-500cals. Depending on the size of the apple or orange they can have over 100cals each and instant rice has 150-200cals per serving. Large eggs have 70 cals each and some granola bars can have 300 or more cals. If you add a PB sandwich that can get to 400 cals easily as PB has about 100cals per tbsp then you add the bread and jelly and your looking at a good 300-400cals. I think its just one of those things that if you look at it, it really doesn't look like a lot of food until you add it up and it really can add up pretty fast. The only thing I can see is you might be short on protein and if you add a protein shake after you work out that could help you get some protein and help cure some of the after workout hunger. Look around the forum you can find diffrent recipes on here for really good protein shakes and things. I hope that helped.
