I really need help with nutrition. i got divorced jan 16th 08. between then and now i've gone from 175ish to 160lbs. im 20 years old saturday feb 9th and im 5 ft 8in tall. i know i had some pounds to lose. but i know this weight lost was due to the fact that i had no appetite. anyways..now that ill be back in the social scene i want to shed fat. i started a spin class today that is held from 530-630 am monday, wednesday, friday. . but i know i dont eat enough. i find it hard. today ihad about a cup of cooked brown rice, a half a turkey hoagie thing and a bag of ramen noodles. ill have to skimp on food until the 15th of feb when i get payed. i really have no clue what to buy. should i just eat regularly as i usually do and attend the spin class? i really didnt do any excercise at all before.

i plan on some fruits like orangesand bananas. those are my fav fruits. buying 30 bananas and oranges and whatever other fruits to last amonth doesnt seam feasable though. i really dont eat any fruit at all right now and rarely veggies.

i want to be healthy and eat healthy i just dont know how. should i really worry about what i eat vs. just watching how much i eat? i used to gorge myself with food especially on nights i made burgers and a pot of macaroni. i would literally be in pain from eating so much macaroni. i love it. but i decided i better quit that.

okay im starting to get off topic. any help is appreciated. thanks

Brandon

what makes you think that food wasnt enough? Weight loss is simple, eat less calories than you use. Try logging your calories on fitday.com or similar website. You dont have to eat any special diet foods, though its probably healthier too. Make sure you eat enough protein so you loose fat and not muscle. Spin classes are a great start :)
