Sport Food and Cramps

I usually suffer from cramps during long and intense sport sessions (especially when I go running). Is there any specific food you would advise that could help me to prevent or reduce the pain?
 
Cramps can be caused by a number of deficiencies; the most common is lack of proper hydration. For long and intense sessions consider a drink like Gatorade to replace fluids as well as electrolytes.
