Fitness & diet tracker - like Access/Excel ?

Is there anything out there in the form of an excel or access database program or spreadsheet that you can input your daily food intake and your workout routines? Something that will allow you to look at your overall diet & fitness 'at a glance' and perhaps help you notice certain trends you need to get out of or certain foods you need to eat more of?

It'd be nice to use something on my own compuer - versus - logging into an online database. If there's something online (free would be better) that would allow you to run your own reports, graphs, etc. - that'd be neat.

There's soooo much information out there in terms of fitness, it's hard to focus on what you (personally) need to do unless you look at what you're doing already (and notice trends you need to get out of,etc).

Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

has a web based platform and a downloadable platform. The downloadable one costs something. But I know many people who use the web based and like it.

I've seen errors with it but I think any database that large is going to have minor glitches.

One of the greatest tools that i highly reccomend is a heartrate monitor. helps you really keep track of your progress. when i first started out i was 203, bf 21. after using it and being able to quantitatively track my performance..ie knowing when i am working hard, when i am dogging it and when i need a break. now i am 173 bf10. running 1/2 marathon in may, bike ride 150 miles in june, triathlon in august and full marathon in october. the monitor hepled me get on track for my goals and more importantly stay there.
