Fish oil and omega 3, EPA, DHA...

Can anyone recommend a respectable brand for fish oil and omega 3 supplements?

How's this?

I'm afraid that I'll end up buying one that will be difficult to absorb and end up wasting my money.

Is there anything else I should know before taking these? I know that fish oils and omega 3's are very good for our bodies, but does it have any effect while I am bulking up?

Just check out the other thread on fish oils in this forum. Generally speaking, the less ingredients the better. A respectable brand will have purified fish oil (not concentrate), natural flavour, d-alpha tocopheral (natural vitamin e), and rosemary extract. That's it.

As for absorbability, liquids are a little better than capsules....Pete

Exactly.. what is a respectable brand of fish oils.

Respectable? Well, I'll humour Bran and say that barleans is respectable. So is Jamison. Udo's choice is one of the best oils to take, but it's not fish oil. The brand at walgreens: junk. Walmart's brand: junk. Why? Because their sole concern isn't quality, but price, and a quick glance at the ingredients shows that.

Carlson's is one of the best fish oils available. Expensive yes, but at least you know you're getting an oil which you will absorb and won't go rancid.

.

Any fish oil that is in gel form should be pretty descent. The differences are negligible once you dig deeper then that. Anything at walgreens should be fine in gel form.

All Fish oil in Gel form is pretty much the same as they ALL much go through "By law" distilling to get rid of the "Mercury"

Take 3grams a day and no more then that as some studys have linked higher doses to higher risks of hemorrhagic strokes "it actually can do its job to well ;)"
