Hi everyone,
I guess this is my declaration that I'm going to work toward change. I'm so tired of wishing things were different, of making excuses for how I look and feel, and imagining what life would be like if I were skinny. I'm tired of being overlooked by men, and feeling like the "fat girl" no matter where I am.
Right now I'm 5'11 and 211 lbs. I'd like to be about 165 lbs, so I have a long way to go.
Comments and advice are welcome!

wow... what you said completely fell in line with what I feel. I just recently joined this group, (2 days ago) and the responses have been quick and helpful for me. If you have the will to lose the weight, you can get it done! Go for it!

Thanks for the support! I've tried so many times that it's easy to slide back and look at this as another failed attempt, but after reading some of the success stories I realize that it's worth it. I want this for me.

elle it really helps to talk. its the only thing i have tried different this time and it seems to take alot of pressure off of you. then someone around norm has a way of converting real food to diet food lol.......

Elle... WELCOME!!!

I'm 6'1 and 198 pounds.... I want to weigh about 175. Maybe a little less...

I have lost 13 pounds since joining this forum first of May. You will find good motivation here. Try journaling.... get a weight loss ticker... it's FUN to be able to update them with weight you've lost.....

Try taking things 10 pounds @ a time... mini-goals are GREAT tools because the total amount of weight you want to lose can be overwhelming @ times....

PM me if you have any questions/need motivation/want to talk (either messager or on the phone!!!)

Thanks for all the support! I've started a weight loss diary, and I'm really going to try to update it a couple times a day, just to keep my goals in mind throughout the day.
I'm off to the gym!
