Hi everyone,
Today i gained some weight back that i lost im not too worried thou cause could be muscle who knows have been doing excerise and lot of cleaning for my job so could be that. For some reason found that if im eating more dairy products i seem to lose more weight not sure what to make of it.
God wish the body could just snap back like rubber band and i could be 60kg again i know this is a fantasy but it would be great.
Currently im 3cm off my waist goal of 80 cm and 6cm off for my belly fat hoping to be under or on 80cm for Christmas and weight is currently at 83.3kg body fat at 40.4%

Hi sugurnator & welcome to the forum. Using your waist measurement is a better guide than weight anyway & only being 3cm off your waist goal is excellent. I wish our bodies would just twang back to what they once were too! Glad you found our forum. There are some great people in here who are supportive & friendly. All the best!

Thanks Cate I started at 102cm around my waist and belly in Jan this year I'm getting there but it always seems to take forever lol. I have always been more about cms lost and fat percentage I have bit to be fat percentage goal of 25-30% thou Don't think I'll get that off before Christmas

Welcome to the forum Sug.

As someone who has struggled with weight for most of their life, I felt like I could offer up some encouragement here. You've mentioned twice already that you are trying to get to a specific goal weight/measurement by Christmas. Now, there is nothing wrong with making goals for yourself - in fact, it can be a great way to stay on track and serve as motivation. However, don't make yourself a goal that you know you can't reach.

I used to do the same thing and it never ended up well for me. I would sit here going, "There's four weeks until Christmas. I'm going to lose 15 lbs by then. YEEEEAH!!!" and get all excited. Then, a week into it, reality would slap me in the face and go, "HAHAHA, NO!!! That's not going to happen!!!" Then, I'd get all upset at myself, feel like a failure and get a negative mentality about my weight again.

So, make your goals realistic. Make them something you KNOW you can reach. And, be realistic about the difficulty involved with losing weight - sometimes things don't go the way you plan...but that's ok. So, if you don't reach your goal by Christmas? So what. As long as you've made progress in the right direction by then that's all that matters.

i agree if I said oh I want to lose 10-15 kg by Christmas which I know is not achievable for me I'm going for cms I'm sure I can achieve at least my waist measurement going to 80cm it is only 3cms away all I got to prevent is self sabotage And staying away from processed crap to eat

I hope you are doing well in your own weight loss journey.
As I like to say it's not starting that is the hardest thing but keeping it going lol

Hi everyone i have been off the forum for a while and i thought that i would update on my progress it has stalled at the moment but getting back on task to loose that last 10kg that wants to hold on with both hands lol.
I finally made my goal of 80 cms around my belly and got down to 79cm at my waist which is down from 103 cm orginally for both measurments when i started so im rapped with that.
My current goals that im working toward are loosing that last bit of fat my unlimate goal is approx 65kg im currently 78kg and gaining a flat stomach.
Hopefully this os the year i finally complete my end goal.

Hi, sugarnator. Oh, that last 10 kg! You can do it. Well done on getting that waist measurement down to 79cm. Is it freezing in Melbourne today? Winter arrived here today & it has been cold & wet & windy. I attempted to play golf, but abandoned after 11 holes. I so hate Winter.

Hi Cate, thanks for the encouragement and yeah weather is getting cold but to be honest I love the cold maybe golf might not be the sport for the next couple of days thou it’s going to get cold and windy indoor sports might be the way to go
