Sport First day of better eating......... I hope.

Well today has been day 1 of my "proper" eating.
I have had 4 small meals and a snack..... Dont see how I am ever going to lose weight eating this much but I am prepared to give it a go.
My fat/protein/calories for today are.....

FAT 25.1g
PROT 73.8g
CALS 1111
Just to recap I am 170lbs, want to be 150lbs, am 34 and 5'8"

The protein is mainly from chicken, cottage cheese and cereal.
Does this sound like healthy numbers??

what about carbs? surely you are eating carbs...
Don't buy into Atkins...its not a permanent (or healthy) solution.
 
I am having carbs...... Didnt realise they needed to be recorded....... gimme 5 mins and I will go look.

CARBS IS 143.3. Thats crunchy nut cornflakes bumping it up....... maybe I need to stick to weetabix.

No idea if this is good or bad. x

143g of carbs? if so that's 570 calories, for a total of 1,683 calories today. That's probably the max you should eat since fat loss is your goal, you are female.

I tend not ot recommend cold cereal, though a few out there are good, like multi-bran Chex, Kellog's Raisin Bran (in moderation though), and Fiber-one.

Otherwise, stick to old fashioned oatmeal for good fiber intake, and complex, un-processed carbs.

The calories in the carbs were included in the 1111. I just forgot to calculate them as actual carbs if you know what I mean ( I included them, but didnt list them seperatelly) :confused: . I have had a total of 1111 cals today.

People in comas get fed 1200 calories per day... and they certainly aren't exercising :)

I know it sounds like a lot, but trust me and others on this board... eating does not cause you to be fat. Over eating and UNDER eating causes your body to store fat. You can eat 1100 calories each day but you will (if not already) start to eat your own muscle as you store more fat.

BUT, I am desperate to lose weight so will give it a go.
Are my carb/fat/protein ratios ok or should I eat more of a specific one?
How many more calories do you think I need?
Im not sure if HRT is affecting my metabolism, or the fact that I am older now which is making this weight harder to shift, But I HAVE to do it..... I need to drop a dress size at LEAST!.
