I think im gonna sign up for the CPAT which stands for:
Candidate Physical Ability Test
This is the main test for becoming a Firefighter
Would like to hear from other firefighters that took the CPAT and explain to me some specifics, in particular I want to know about the running 3miles while being able to talk the whole time. Are you supposed to run a certain speed the whole 3 miles and also how often are you supposed to be talking that whole 3 miles. I did print out the CPAT test preparation guide from
but its not real specific in that area. Any other tips or info you guys can give me about my direction would be great. For the most part I feel fairly confident about the CPAT other than the descriptions above. I am also gonna be enrolling into the EMT-b class and FF1, and trying to get on as volunteer right now to get some free training hopefully![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
