Fire

Kinda sucks when you have to go indoors to get some fresh air!

I'm not there now but I was at Camp Pendleton in 1975-6 when they had some pretty big fires! It seemed like the whole area along the coast from LA to San Diego was on fire that year. Yuk!!!

I was woken up by my older sister this morning at around 6, and was told that the fire was within a close proximity to our home.

It's scary to have to be so quick on your feet and immediately pack up your most important belongings with very little room for sentimental objects, all from a natural disaster that puts your home and life at risk.

I'm along the border of San Marcos and Escondido, and my area wasn't given the cut to evacuate just yet. Fortunately we've got everything packed up and loaded in the cars, and if we do have to leave, we plan on heading up to Orange County.

Hey man long time no see, where you been?
Yeah, I need to get back here man! Just been away for a while, haven't had too much time and just recently got back into lifting from about a month or a month and a half away. Damn, am I weak! :D Good to see you're still here tho bro

Anybody have to evacuate? The fires got even worse today, kinda nice that schools cancelled for at least a week though. LB, how'd everything work out with you?

My family and I have everything ready, just waiting on the evacuation warning although I doubt we'll have to leave. Then again, these wind patterns and fires can be unpredictable. How are you and your family?

I was only able to take two pictures from my backyard on Monday afternoon before my camera's battery died. I live in Escondido/San Marcos and was facing north, so what you're seeing is the smoke of the fire in Fallbrook.

Look at the trees too, you can see how crazy the winds were. I wish I had taken pictures on Sunday, when they were even stronger.

Close up...

I was gonna ask my dog what he thought, but apparently he didn't give two ****s.

Skies were way worse on Tuesday, absolutely covered in grayish orangish smoke. I wish I had the chance to take pictures outside.
