favorite whey protein powder

My favorite whey protein is Whey Factors from Natural Factors, Double Chocolate flavor. Tastes very good even in water, but I prefer in soy milk. The best thing about it is that this is a premium protein powder: non-denatured, from cows that have not been treated with growth hormones. Cheapest price for 2lb. was $21.10 (iHerb.com with a $5 off referral code, I used NIK145).

Second place (by taste) is Designer Whey Chocolate. Good taste, mixes well. You can get it in VitaminShoppe. Online price is $19.99. I don't like it because it is a denatured whey and quality of milk is questionable.

Second place (by quality + taste) is Jarrow Formulas Whey Protein Caribbean Chocolate. Online price is $14.47 (iHerb.com with a $5 off referral code, see above). Jarrow whey is manufactured using a vegetarian rennet enzyme and is specially processed to concentrate and preserve glutamine.

Second place (by quality) is Life Extension Enhanced Protein. Online price is $23.50 (iHerb.com with a $5 off referral code, see above). It is a 100% whey protein isolate plus added lactoferrin (has up to 300% more lactoferrin than other whey proteins). Undenatured.

Tried also:
Source Naturals True Whey (premium quality: in each 10 grams you receive 8 grams of protein, 900 mg immunoglobulins, 190 mg lactoferrin). Expensive.
VitaminShoppe - did not like it at all.

I like ON Strawberry best of the ones Ive tasted. And that assumes you drink it plain.

ON flavors are usually pretty good.

I mostly stick to Nitrean though, as much of the research I've read points to a whey + casein protein blend being superior to pure whey isolate.

Nitrean is about $40 a 5lb tub, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. teh vanilla is the best i've had. the chocolate is good...reminds me of Yoohoo! drink.

the strawberry is the BOMB-dot-COM as a PWO shake with a little dextrose...its exactly like strawberry Quik, in plain water.

nitrean is only sold at

Thank you. I saw ON whey powder in VitaminShoppe store, never tried it though.
What the label says? Is it non-denatured too? rBGH free?

I still prefer ON. I think their products are really good and taste pretty awesome, too. I like vanilla and chocolate. The strawberry makes my throat feel weird ...

I finally found one that mixes well in the blender... so my smoothies are smooth and I can actually taste the fruit and not the protein after-math.
I picked it up at TJ's /Trader Joes/ for chicks Aria.

Like it a lot

Will try some others recommended -- thank you!

trueprotein.com << my recipi changes for what i need, depending on the job im working at,, the flavors chocolate and vanilla are nice, want to try orange flavor next time try just 1/2 ibs
edit: go to products - formulas - custom solutions <<

I've ordered 25 lbs of ON Mocha flavored whey so far this year and used 15 lbs already. I'd like to have 1, 5 lbs container as spare while i drink the other one. I've tried the other flavors and most ON flavors are good but I've loved Mocha.

My favorite is the pure unflavored whey isolate from myprotein.co.uk.

Outstanding product with supposedly the highest biological value of any known protein.

Blend with a bunch of berries and soy milk. yum yum yum. Healthy as they come and a total snack taste wise too.

Hands down ON. There Whey Isolate is good, except for vanilla(vanilla is just one of those flavors thats good but u can mess it up WAY to easy). There 24-Hour complex(casein) is pretty good but kinda thick.

Syntha 6 is a good taste but too much $$

Protein powders dont normally have sugar in them they generally have sweeteners. I take the met-Rx chocolate supreme whey. I find that this gets me the best gains when i sand which my workout with it eg. one shake before one after.

Amen. Trueprotein.com baby. Stuff you buy in bottles and tubs is usually over-priced IMO.
AND their website now has Stevia as a sweetener, thank god! Most market powders still use aspartame or sucralose. << Your opinion on those substances will vary but I personally believe... they will kill you... eventually =)
