My favorite film has to be the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Honestly though, there are plenty of films I've enjoyed. Recently I saw Pan's Labyrinth, and that was a really well made movie!

I really liked the new King Kong movie that came out. And I saw "Rocky Balboa" which was also a really great movie; better then the ones before it. "Day after tommorow" is a good movie also. I couldn't choose which one..

Stingo - I've missed out on so many classics like Casablanca. What's the Seventh Seal about?

Some of my fave movies are (no particular order) the Rings Trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Sin City, Kill Bill, Judgement Day, and ummmmm....God I'm forgetting a ton. It's hard to pick just one!

12 monkeys
fight club
identity
stand by me
survive style 5+
grandma's boy
requiem for a dream
whisky

in no particular order... :D

You need to go out and rent Casablanca... NOW lol - probably the greatest movie ever made.

The Seventh Seal is probably the original art film - it's an allegorical tale of a knight who returns from the crusades to his home country (Sweden) and he meets Death on the shore. Knowing that this is not a good thing, he has to think fast and eventually gets Death to allow him to return to his castle, provided they play chess along the way. As they make the journey, Antonious Block (the knight) represents how faith perceives the world (and Death) whilst his squire Jof represents the atheist's view. A very depressing, but also very moving and very profound film to my eyes and ears. If you like this sort of thing, you'll love this.

If you apreciate the seventh seal I can really recommend Bergmans "Wild Strawberries" and "Persona" if you haven't seen them alredy, two truly great films.

I intend to - just haven't yet. I can't help but think that the title Wild Strawberries and the relevant scene from The Seventh Seal have some kind of connection. Thanks for the recommendations.

Fargo
Natural Borne Killers
Pulp fiction
Young guns
Tombstone
Days of Thunder
OMG- Casino, donnie Brasco, HEAT. the list goes on and on.

The Swedish title “Smultronstället” doesn’t translate into “Wild Strawberries” actually. Rather it means a place where strawberries grow, but can also refer any place that’s special. It may be a beautiful place from where to watch a sunset or a café with really good ice-cream. With its original meaning, it’s associated to a sort of idyllic world or happy remembrance of childhood.

But I think you're right, there is a connection now that you nemtion it, but I wont spoil it :D

Thanks - I appreciate the lack of spoilage (is why I don't usually discuss movies anywhere, let alone online...). The scene in The Seventh Seal is one of my favorites from the movie - I'd find it too much of a coincidence that there would not be some kind of connection. Will have to get and watch Wild Strawberries now...

gotta agree lord of the rings is pretty ill....3 movies each one is better than the other and it brings fantasy to a whole new level
