Fat or Skin? (With pics)

Hey guys hoping this isn't against any forum rules or anything, but here are some pics of me after losing 100 lbs, and I was just curious of your guys opinion on if its skin that has to tighten or just some sagging fat that is still left since Im still about 30 lbs over my "Target" weight. :)
On stomach and chest :)
 
I can't tell - can you send us a pic when you pull your skin, on the belly, from the side, and another where you pull the skin on your side (love handles), from the front? We might be able to have a better idea.

Well done on shedding 100lb.
 
Although a picture of your before would be helpful in determining the answer to your question but this does not look like loose skin. It looks like fat which will shrink as you lose the rest of your weight.

I agree with dreamtobethin. It looks like you just have more fat which will go down as you continue to lose.

Looking good! Soon you will be a stud muffin. ;)

Thanks for the responses guys :), I was reading somewhere that when you lose a lot of weight you get some fat that gathers towards the bottom of the stomach.

Also I consulted my doctor and for the most start he told me a lot of my sagging areas are just skin that will slowly begin to tighten up.

I'm kind of hoping by next summer to be taking my shirt off at the beach. I'm going on a cruise in about 3 weeks, I figure Ill probably wear an underarmor shirt and a shirt over it mostly because it tightens everything up.

Thank you again for your comments it really helps for me to talk to people about it >_> as dumb as that may sound.
 
You and I have almost the same exact body type, dude. I wonder if you could be a long lost brother of mine or something. I even have that same pair of pants you do, plus the same name.

Maybe this is me communicating with myself when I was younger. Who really knows. We both played football too, what position do you play? I was a linebacker.

No not dumb at all - it's one of these things that can be difficult to talk to in real life.

I'd recommend losing weight slowly - no more than 2lb/week. That will prevent loose skin, it will be more likely to be just fat rather than water/lean mass, and importantly, it'll probably stay off easier as the slower weight loss is, the easier it is to continuously adjust to your new weight and keep it off. I know a lot of people including myself can be inpatient, and I used to be very impatient (yo-yo dieting was the result), but now I'm happily maintaining/fine tuning my weight having lost most of it overall at less than 2lb per month (weight low slows down too the closer you get to your goal).

I'd also recommend doing weights, so you'll look hotter (you don't look bad at all - just a wee bit out of shape and you'll look even better soon) and so that you bulk up a bit, which will probably help with the who loose skin business.

For what it's worth, it definitely looks like fat to me. Remember that it is possible that whatever you set your ideal weight at isn't actually the weight you will look best at. If you reach your ideal weight and still don't like how you look, I'd personally suggest trying to bulk up on some muscle for a while after you're done losing weight.

But great job and congrats on losing 100lbs so far!

On a side note, those pants are the same as the ones I wear to work out in, too! Must be a popular choice?
 
Lol yea maybe it is a popular pant choice, I am an Adidas guy myself :p, Also Lula lol maybe I should post some before pics because if you think I look out of shape now :p, you should of seen me before.

Right now I have a pulse of 49-50 at rest, I can run a 40 yard sprint in about 5.3 secs. :p
 
Your stretchmarks aren't severe, so that skin will tighten up as you lose the rest of the fat. You look like you have about 30-40lbs left to go and it will definitely help if you build some upper body muscle. Skin always lags behind for a while. You'll be fine by next summer. Keep up the good work.
