Hi guys

My name is John Rupert and I am a dietician :)

I used to be about 60 lbs overweight about two years back and after various failed attempts have managed to lose all of that 60 lbs in less than two months by just following a healthy diet. After I lost all of this weight I decided that becoming a dietician and helping others rid themselves of extra fat was to be my way of life

There are numerous methods out there that tell you that they have the secret behind losing weight and I must tell you that I have tried some of them in recent years and they all turned out to be either a scam or a catologue of expensive equipment that is supposed to help you shed weight, but doesnt.

I will be reviewing some of these products over the next couple of weeks, but for now let us get you in the right mindset first.

The biggest problem we have at the moment is the so called fat-free products. In some of my recent studies, I have com to a conclusion that these products are either fakes, or just cleverly disguised junk food. And yes it tastes horrible. The fat in the product are usually removed from the product, but to be replaced by various other harmful products that actually causes you to gain weight instead of losing weight.

These products actually results in a deteriorating way of life and causes symptoms such as drowsiness and fatigue. And some of these products contain ingredients that are harmful to your body over a period of time!! This can result in death

This brings me to my next piece of information. FAT IS ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU!! The fat contained in olive oil and a loaf of bread is actually good for you! It keeps you warm during the winter and so forth! But the saying goes: Too much of a good thing is a bad thing.

If you have any comments or questions feel free to ask. Whether it would be psychological or physical, I am here to help :)

Did you even bother reading anything around this forum before posting?

Maybe you should...

Hello,

I just have a quick question about how you became a dietitian... What schooling did you go through and about how long did it take?

I have a question.

What harmful products are they putting into fat-free products and how do they cause you to gain weight, become lethargic or kill you?

And on a more serious note -I'm not a fan of fat free/sugar free products -because i don't see them as a be all and end all solution to weight - but the bigger reason is that mostly the products just don't taste as good as the real stuff...

I'd rather have a little square of really good, high-quality chocolate than an entire bar of some low-fat, low-sugar piece of garbage. :piggy:

That's fine to say, but I wondering what evidence the original poster has to support his claims.

I've seen articles in the past - about how all sorts of things are added to fat free and sugar free products... they have to add something to replace what they're taking out...

While I can't stand the taste of it now - i've drunk enough diet coke/diet pepsi/tab to float several barges -and if I believed the hype that saccharin/asparatame/whatever sugar substitute of the moment is causes cancer in lab rats -I' should have been long dead.

I've seen too many people on this site and others think they're doing their bodies good because of the fat free/sugar free products they're consuming - when in reality -they'd probably be better off long term with real products and not chemicals...

That's not necessarily true. I'm sure with some product they do that, however, they don't add chemicals to skim milk and low fat cheese is made with partly skimmed milk.

What makes me laugh about the testing on rats is they commonly get cancer on their OWN and die. My friend had rats and every 1-2 years one croaked from that. They weren't exposed to anything out of the ordinary or experimented on... well unless she was sneaking them diet coke and I wasn't aware of it :D
