:drool5: Is there a such thing? Also what exactly is it?I used to drink
cappachinos but I don't like coffee and if they are like a cappas and they
make a fat free version I would love these when that for the cravings and
ect and the fact it is 20 degrees out.Any info would be freatful,Thanks Tammy

ah ha! fat free does not equal sugar free. (remember those Devil's Food fat free cookies that were popular years ago?)...and if it ain't sugar free then it still can be high in calories.

Starbucks does have a lineup of drinks under 200 calories:

Don't get the whipped cream at Starbucks. It's a heavy cream that adds 100 calories to any drink.

Ill give you the low down on coffee (since im an espresso addict)

cappuccino is a serving of espresso with essentially similar amounts of milk and a rather stiff milk foam. latte is a serving of espresso with about three times as much milk, topped with a short head of foam.
Flat white has less stiff foam and more milk. Ideally the cappuchino is better because it has more air.
The milk sweetens as it heats and foams so you wont need as much sugar in your drink as say a normal instant coffee. If you get trim/no fat milk it puts a little more air into it so has less calories also.
A NORMAL sized cup would have only about 50-70 cals in the milk, and the actual coffee itself has SFA (sweet F**K all).
An oversized cup with full cream milk and sugar and chocolate plus the little chocolate fish on the side and marshmellows and syrups etc would have anywhere from 300-700 calories a cup :)

So choose how you dress your coffee - you dont need to go without!

If you dont like coffee - try Chai lattes instead - Chai is a black tea with lots of spices like cinnamon and cardamom - really warming and extremely fragrant and they don't need sugar to sweeten them... Adding the milk to it is the only calories they contain.

Chais are very tasty, BUT if you get them at a coffee place, they will have a bunch of added sugar. Grocery store-bought chai is also high in high fructose corn syrup (a known enemy of maleficient) ;)

Starbucks has Skinny Lattes serving size tall (12 oz.) in a variety of flavors that have 90 calories in them. I love the carmel one, it warms me right up in this cold Wis. weather!

you must have a different starbucks than us. Ours only ever makes shit coffee thats overpriced and everything pretty much tastes like crap (except maybe their chocolate stuff which is surprisingly unsweet and nice)

Wow alot to choose from,I don't want too many added calories but something under 150 would work,I just want something besides sugar free hot chochlate that has a kick to it.Mal I will look into those I am not a big TEA fan though, ice or hot.I just remeber drinking those french vanilla cappas and they were to die for and it would be nice to find something like those with less cals and fat.

are you looking at the general foods international coffees or real coffee from starbucks or the like?

you can make your own "international coffees" sort of by using instant coffee and cocoa (unsweetened) and adding some powdered milk and sweetener (i've done it as homemade christmas gifts and it's pretty good and I'ma coffee snob - i won't drink instant coffee most days...

Give this mix in a jar with instructions typed out on a decorative label or tag.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup powdered coffee creamer, non-dairy
1/2 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
1/3 cup instant coffee
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
PREPARATION:
Press the coffee through a fine sieve; combine all ingredients in a small bowl until well-blended. Spoon into decorative jars; cover. Makes 3 1/2 cups.
Directions to include on a label or tag:
Place 1/4 cup Mocha Coffee mix in a mug.

torani - (sold at specialty stores and also at marshalls and tjmaxx sometimes)makes sugar free syrups that are quite tasty too - the raspberry in sugar free hot cocoa makes it more grown up and a bit more decadent.. they also have a sugar free caramel that's really good...

I live in the Starbucks capital of the world...And they do make some good "low cal" stuff here. I agree with Mal though, the chai teas are nice, warm, yummy, and good for you! :D ( mostly) :D

:drool5: I shouldn't be reading this afterhours lol. Mal I will give that a try I am looking for something to pick up at the store,I haven't even been to a starbucks before and MAYBE after reading that is a good thing lol.
I will try to make my own,I used to drink coffee when I worked 3rd shift at BP but they had some gr8 coffee and international creamers like french vanilla which I would use 2-3 +3-4 pks of sugar so NOT SO HEALTHY but I did however bounce for hours lol.

The starbucks skinny lattes are super good. 90 calories for a "tall". They are new-- only been out a week or two. Yeah you have to be pretty specific.. Skinny latte, sugar free syrup, tall, no whip cream.

They are just now calling them skinny lattes. I've been getting them for quite awhile. Sugar free fat free vanilla latte. Good stuff. :drool5:

thanks for saying that amanda :)

behold the power of marketing :)

You could get a skim latte with sugar free syrup pretty much since they opened their doors...

calling them skinny lattes is a nice appeal to the resolutioners :)
