Fat Burning

I am trying to burn as much fat as possible. I am 19, 5'11", and I weight about 175. When I last checked about a month ago, I had 8 percent body fat. I feel like i"m almost there, I just need to lose a little belly and love handle fat. What level of cardio do I need to do to burn off that extra fat? And yes I know diet is totally key as well as genetics. How many days a week, what exercises, how much time during each, etc? I like running, doing some swimming, but also mountain biking, but I'm just curious as to how often and what intensity I should be doing cardio exercises in order to burn fat.

Google Tabita method or check out HIIT threads on this site. You only need to do those 10-20 minutes 2 times a week for maximum benefit.

However, resistance exercise will help you burn fat more than cardio. Take a look at stickies in the weightlifting section for starting routines and try it.

Erm, 8% body fat is actually pretty low already, you do need some body fat to exist- it is healthy to have some then to have none at all!

Be carefulm I'm sure the last thing you want are health problems.

Have you ever tried using a heart rate monitor? These really helped me burn off the calories. They help you target which of your exercises are actually helping you with your fitness goals or weight loss.

One of the new ones out there is the Polar FT7. Check it out

When it comes to fat burning, there are lots of people whom are getting hooked with it especially with those people who are gaining most of their fats everyday. There are lots of ways that you can try to follow and at the same time, you can also ask the help of those experts in order for you to successfully do it.:angry2:

agree with that, think you should approach an expert so that you will know which cardio fits for you. running, swimming and mountain biking is a perfect and good exercise and they can burn fat fast and easily, so avoid over doing it.
