Fantastic deal on Weider Platinum Gym

While researching home gyms, I came across this opportunity I'd like to share.
If you go to you will see their top of the line home gym with an msrp of $1500. The very lowest price found for this item online was still over $700.

Now go to Walmart online () and view this low end Weider gym at $284. Here's the good part. They have an Out of Stock status on this item and until Feb 3rd, they will upgrade to the Platinum Plus for the same price.

This sounded too good to be true but it's legit. I just placed my order and received confirmation. They will deliver it to a Walmart nearest you saving you shipping (but adding local tax).

I just had to share this......

But it maxes out at 240 lbs resistance? What good is that?

Edit: Unless your a young kid or a small woman.

For less than $300 I got 500 lbs in standard plates, two barbells, an adjustable bench, two spin-lock dumbbells, and hex dumbbells from weights 5-35 lbs.

Machines. -_-

Still, whatever floats your boat. It does appear to be quite a hefty discount.

Who'd you rob?

Or, more seriously, where'd you find that good of a deal?

Best I've seen on hex dumbbells (cast iron) is somewhere in the neighborhood of $0.90 per pound I believe. So if your set of just hex dumbbells goes in five pound increments that'd be ~$252 right there.

Hex dumbbells are $0.55/lb here, new, and practically free second-hand. I just did a little bargain hunting.

A lot of people like to go and buy a bunch of fancy equipment or sign up for a long gym membership when they first start out. Unfortunately for some of them, the motivation isn't in place, and eventually they end up just wanting their storage space back. They'll let brand new, hardly touched equipment go for almost nothing.

I have weider Platinum plus & 240 lbs is fine when starting out. There is an add-on load cylinder that doubles it to 480 lbs, btw.
