Anyone interested in a Fall Challenge.

This challenge will run from the 21st September - 21st December, just in time to see if we could have that extra serving of turkey and cranberry sauce... or gravy.... or mac n cheese.... or fruit cake.... or rum cake (if you're from the islands like me)

So any takers, it will be monitored by monthly, every two weeks. So the first weigh in will be on the 21st of September, the second two weeks from that which is the 5th October and so forth until the first day of winter...

Hmm....I'm in. Is it just going to be weigh ins, or maybe smaller challenges as well, like 'drink a certain amount of water per day' or 'exercise xx minutes per week'?

That's a good idea. I'll have to think of a few challenges to throw into the mix, other than the standard weigh in every two weeks.

Since I am not loving my stomach right now, I think the first challenge should be to increase the amount of ab exercises by a certain number or percentage, and to keep increasing it until you reach your goal.

You know, sort of like starting off I could say that I do no ab exercises a day, I would like to increase that to 5 a day, the the next day 6 the other 7, until I reach my goal of I don't know 100 a day or something like that.

I am in.

I want to reach my goal weight of 125 and that sounds like perfect timing.

I will add that I want to maintain no less than 7 hours of exercise per week (I do about 1hr per day of something that I love so it's no burden but it is weather permitting and I have to find something else to fill in when I can't do it).

Also I want to stretch at least 4 days per week if not every day. I've just begun stretching again after a long time and have a hard time staying motivated to do it.

So I'll keep track of weigh-ins, hours of exercise and stretching.

Good luck to all!

I'm in. Me and the wife are thinking of going to vegas at christmas. I'd love to be in the 190s by then. 40 lbs from now...ugh..ten lbs a month. Its do able..I hope.

Hi guys, so tomorrow is the first day of the Fall Challenge. As stated before, it will only last through Fall, that's three months with bi-monthly weigh ins and challenges. This those of you familiar with challenges will be familiar with the format, the only difference is that we will post the challenges in this thread, the other thread is only for weigh ins. I'm thinking of also having this thread for thoughts, ideas of new challenges, or just to blow off steam.

Here we go...GOOD LUCK EVERYONE:hurray:

Goal Weight:

Actual Weight:

1st Challenge: Increase any daily exercise activity by 10%. (That is, if you do 50 abs, you increase it by 5, or if you chose legs and you do 50 squats or lunges, you do 55 instead, whichever muscle groups you chose, and if you don't do any exercise at all, you chose a number, maybe 10 crunches a day, and do 12)

As always, please be sure to check with a doctor or physican before starting anything, and please, please, please people, know that there is BIG DIFFERENCE between being sore from a workout and hurting yourself.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, SEE YOU TOMORROW FOR THE FIRST WEIGH IN...

Did you already set up a seperate thread for the weigh ins?

And the first challenge will be easy for me - I'm not doing any exercise at the moment but planning on starting on my treadmill again, so it will probably be an increase of about 100% rather than 10%. ;)

Goal Weight: 190 lbs

Actual Weight: Not sure what I am suppose to put here. lol.

I'm going for basically going for 13.334 lbs a month. I don't know if I can do this. But its my goal. I'm going to work hard at this. As long as I get under or around 200 I'd be happy. But I would love to hit 190 by christmas.

I'll have a format that's a tad different. I'll show my weight lost instead of my actual weights. I'll start at a total of 0 lost since the challenge just began. I hope to lose 17-20lbs by the end of this year. I'll also exercise about 6 hours between each weigh in. That's a comfortable 3hrs a week. I'll continue my 500 calorie/day deficit and drink my usual 80oz-120oz of water a day. The only things new will be increasing my exercise by 10% (which will eventually take me over 3hrs a week) and the Breast Cancer 1/2 Marathon. I've never done something like that before. It's exciting. Life is good ^_^
