Facebook "friends"

What should I do about facebook "friends" who:
-never comments on my posts, even on ones where I said my cat was dying
- never comments on my photos
- didn't even wish me a happy birthday
- didn't even congratulate me on my engagement
-didn't even congratulate me on my wedding!
- didn't remark on any of my wedding photos
- didn't even remark on my accomplishments doing a 5K run, a 15K, etc
- never posts on my wall, not even to say "hello"
- never "likes" any of my posts or photos
- didn't even wish me a Merry Christmas
- didn't even wish me a Happy New Year
**even though I occasionally "drop in" on their profile to comment, say happy birthday, congratulate them on stuff...etc.
I have a few fb "friends" like that and yeah it's annoying and hurtful they don't even take the time to say happy birthday or congrats on my WEDDING!?!
***I also know they do check in to fb because I see them updating their own profiles and commenting on other peoples pages
 
Remove them from your friends list? Why do you have people like that on there in the first place?
 
My daughter has friends like that on facebook and she just deletes them but for some reason most of them end up asking to be her friend again. She says that they must just stalk her to see what she does or they wouldn't even notice that she has deleted them but they don't ever comment.
I never accept people that aren't good friends that I know will communicate with me so I don't have that problem.
I would just delete them and forget about it.
 
Ya I know, And yes, I have contemplated a long time*on what I should do about "friends" like these. If they didnt even acknowledge*my existence for the past 8+ FREAKIN MONTHS, I speculate as to why they are even my facebook "friends" to begin with.

I mean WTF, they don't even take the time to say happy birthday or congrats on my WEDDING!?! yet say congrats to another person, didnt take 5 seconds to*post "happy birthday' to me even though*I said happy birthday to THEM, didnt comment on not ONE of my wedding photos or even "liked one", EVEN though I commented on a few of THEIR photos, etc. etc. you get the point. It's so one sided.

And good point, I don't see how people can have 500 "friends".. I might very well end up deleting the culprits
 
I guess it depends what you want out of facebook. Some people network and collect people they don't really know and some people keep it to friends and family.

Personally I have a cull every now and then and get rid of people. I think not commenting on your engagement, birthday and wedding is really low. I'd have commented and I don't even know you.

By the way Happy belated birthday and congratulations on your wedding :D

I can't think that I've ever commented on someone's birthday. I suspect that the people who know me wouldn't expect me to. ;)

Plus I'm 36 so don't get quite so excited about another one rolling around.

Ahh but I look on it the other way around ;) its a celebration that you were lucky enough to have another birthday.

I always feel grateful that I've become a year older when sadly friends of mine haven't been so lucky. I don't want to drag this down so I won't go into details, but a friend of mine died a week before christmas after a brave 10 year fight with the big C and another friend died in September in a car crash. I guess it just made me realise that life is so precious and we should really be grateful for everyday. There's that saying 'yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift thats why its called the present' :D

True enough. I'm quite happy to wish someone Happy Birthday face-2-face but via Facebook isn't the same. And certainly the lack of a greeting isn't anything to get upset about.
By the same token I only send real cards, I don't do 'e-cards' - they just seem so false.
An e-greeting from 30 of 500 'friends' or a few people I see regularly wishing me happy birthday - I know what'd make me happier.

Anyway, Akani. I'm having this same problem on on MyFitnessPal and I agree about how annoying it is. I commented on this girls profile/status several times....got nada yet she turns around and writes on three other people's pages a couple hours. The worst part is she only has like 9 friend and she friended ME first. :-/
Yeah these people need to go.

Dood! So annoying indeed! That's just messed up. How's ur weight loss going by the way? I didn't have time to look at the December challenge thread

May I ask ...how many times do you comment on theirs??
...maybes your just not on there newsfeed and they have heaps on there friends list - taking it personal isnt going to do you any good...if it bothers you that much - just delete them :)

@pristiq, u could be right. I occasionally comment, but I don't bombard their page with my comments lol. But personally, I would comment on something as huge as a wedding or engagement..and yes, I will more than likely delete those friends. They use to be my co workers too that I would talk to everyday (I don't work with them anymore).

@ day behavior...I'm still lethargic and gaining ALOT of weight, even after eating less and exercising. My hair is all falling out too, how lame. My doctor appointment is in 2 days. I'm speculating it's my thyroid.
